Kim‘s company was valued at $1.6 billion in April 2021 and a new financing round has brought its valuation to a whopping $3.2 billion.
Skims CEO Jens Grede revealed in a new interview that a $240 million financing round was led by hedge fund Lone Pine Capital and joined by investment firm D1 Capital Partners. Also participating in the round were existing investors Imaginary Ventures, Alliance Consumer Growth and Thrive Capital.
Kim told Bloomberg, “This latest round will allow us to focus on bringing more innovations and solutions to our customers and become even more of a trusted resource for them.”
Skims‘ sales were at $275 million in 2021 and the company expects to hit $400 million in 2022. The brand intends on focusing on overseas growth as it expands in the years to come.
