Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Friday, January 28, teases that Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) will face a tropical wakeup call while Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) weaves a tangled web of lies. Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) will also provoke Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) as he focuses on causing the maximum amount of Salem drama, so there’ll be a lot going on as we wrap up the week.
As EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) prepares for court, he may be a bit nervous about his sentencing.
EJ would rather not spend a decade behind bars, but that’s what he could be looking at if the judge throws the book at him.
Belle Brady (Martha Madison) will continue to represent EJ as best as she can and will even provide some moral support.
Days spoilers say Belle will adjust EJ’s tie for him and smile over a cracked joke or two.
EJ and Belle will have some fun scenes despite the ominous nature of the sentencing to come.
It’ll be interesting to see if things might take a romantic turn between Belle and EJ down the road.
In the meantime, Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) will wash his hands of Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and try to make Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) feel like the queen of his heart.
As part of that plan, Xander will give Gwen a snow globe and perhaps dream about the getaway they still want to take together.
Days spoilers say Xander will promise Gwen is the only woman for him – and he’ll prove it with a marriage proposal at some point in the coming episodes.
Next, Ned Grainger (Chris Kalhoon) will drop off another captive on the private island Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) used to own.
Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) will be on hand to drag the sack Ned offers and get an unconscious Abigail out of it.
Once Abigail eventually comes to, she’ll wonder what the heck is going on.
It’ll be Kristen who greets Abigail on her permanent vacation, but Abigail may warn that her sister-in-law won’t get away with this.
Days spoilers say Abigail will be stuck in this captivity crisis for now, but she’ll hold out hope that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will sort this mess out.
While Abigail blasts Kristen, Chad will mull over where his wife is and why she would just take off like that.
It shouldn’t be too hard for Chad to speculate that Abigail met the same disappearing fate as the real Sarah.
However, Johnny will provide a distraction when he messes with Chad on Friday’s DOOL episode.
Johnny may point out that since the possession film is moving forward, they’ll have to replace Abigail if she doesn’t turn up soon.
Johnny might also argue that Chad is more than welcome to take the role of John Black (Drake Hogestyn) now that EJ is headed to the slammer.
Chad may lash out at Johnny since he’s less concerned about shooting a movie and more concerned about the danger Abigail might be in.
Speaking of danger, Paulina will fear Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) could be in peril if TR Coates (William Christian) learns the shocking truth.
Lani just walked over to check on Paulina, who was in the midst of chewing TR out and turning down his dinner invitation.
TR will want to meet Lani and find out her connection to Paulina, but Paulina certainly won’t want TR finding out they share a daughter.
That’s why Paulina should work the niece angle and insist this is Tamara Price’s (Marilyn McCoo) daughter instead.
It shouldn’t be hard to sell that since Lani grew up believing Tamara was her mom, but Paulina’s decision to downplay her own link to Lani may puzzle her.
Paulina will struggle to hide how much she’s freaking out, but she’ll breathe a sigh of relief once TR walks away without figuring out the truth.
Nevertheless, Lani will have more questions for Paulina, who’ll squirm as she tries to answer them back at Lani’s apartment.
