The Antioch Police Department is investigating after a burned body was found at the 2900 block of Melon Court on Saturday evening.
According to police, officers received reports of a fire at about 7 p.m. on Saturday.
When they arrived at Melon Court, they found a severely burned dead body. Police say the cause of death is unknown.
The Antioch Police Department’s Investigations Bureau and the Violent Crimes Unit is now investigating the death. The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy, and police say no further information will be released.
