All but two of Florida’s 67 counties are now in the U.S. Centers for Disease Control’s “high” category for COVID-19 community levels.
Although positivity rates remain above 20% in all three South Florida counties, they have remained basically stable since early June.
The number of hospital patients with the virus has continued to rise across the state but this week showed some signs of stabilizing. The 7-day average for hospitalizations has increased 2.5% over the past week; the previous week’s increase was 7.6%.
