The Boston Marathon doesn’t just bring thousands of runners to the city and surrounding areas, it also brings in thousands of devoted fans and supporters. For some, it also means unwanted crowds, lines, and traffic.
In the days leading up to April 15, people from around the world will be in and around the city. On Marathon Monday, they’ll be lining the route to run or cheer on family, friends, and strangers. You’ll likely find the biggest and most animated crowd at the finish line located in the heart of Boston.
But what if you don’t want to be in the center of the action? Or even, dare we say, watch the marathon in person? For some, Marathon Monday is just a normal day, one where they want to go about their day or explore on their own terms.
