The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Wednesday, April 3 – Liam Blasts Finn’s Betrayal – Hope Comforts Steffy’s Husband

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 3, reveals that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) was all set up for Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) memorial, but he admitted to Paul “Hollis” Hollister (Hollis W. Chambers) that he might be paying tribute to Sheila all by his lonesome.

At Il Giardino on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Deacon just wished a couple people would come and said it was sad that no one was willing to pay their respects.

At Forrester Creations, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) showed up to see what Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) decided about the memorial, so Hope admitted she was going to show up and support Deacon.

Liam thought Hope might be the only person who went, but Hope pointed out that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) might go, too – though she couldn’t be sure since Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) would disapprove.

Once Hope arrived at the memorial, she told Deacon that she didn’t want him to go through this alone. Deacon hugged Hope and said this meant the world to him.

At the cliff house, Finn confessed to Steffy that he’d decided to attend Sheila’s memorial, but he knew she wouldn’t be happy about that news.

Steffy ranted about how Sheila would’ve gone to their memorial services or at least Steffy’s if she’d had her away.

Steffy said Sheila came to their home to finish the job, so Finn assured Steffy that he’d never defend Sheila.

That said, Finn couldn’t deny the primal connection he had with his birth mother and was hoping to find some sort of resolution by going to the memorial.

Steffy didn’t understand Finn’s feelings, but she accepted his decision – though she pointed out that she obviously couldn’t go with him.

Steffy also thought Finn and Deacon might be the only mourners, so she warned her husband not to be surprised if that was the case.

Once Steffy headed to the CEO office at Forrester Creations, Liam popped in and admitted he was there checking up on Hope.

Steffy felt certain Hope was living her best life while Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was off licking his wounds in Paris.

Liam was glad Hope and Thomas weren’t in each other’s lives anymore, so Steffy said that was something they could agree on.

Talk turned to Sheila’s memorial, so Steffy gave Liam updates on Finn’s decision to attend.

Liam thought this was a complete betrayal, so he asked if Steffy at least pushed back and asked “what the hell” Finn was thinking.

As far as Liam was concerned, something was wrong with Finn if his priorities were this misaligned. Liam insisted that Finn’s loyalty should be to Steffy, not Sheila.

At Il Giardino again, Deacon assumed Finn probably wasn’t coming, so Hope suggested that Steffy should let Finn grieve however he saw fit and stop controlling things.

After Deacon said they should get the service started, he approached Sheila’s casket and asked why she threw away what they were building together.

Finn walked in and was surprised to see Hope there, so she revealed that she came to support Deacon.

Hope said Finn knew how she felt about Sheila, but she really was sorry for Finn’s loss.

Finn eventually stepped over and put his hand on Sheila’s casket, so Hope asked if he was doing OK.

Although Finn didn’t know why he was feeling so emotional, Deacon said Sheila gave him life and that they’d be connected forever.

Deacon added that Sheila loved Finn more than anything in the world and felt it would mean so much to her that he came.

As for Deacon, he was taking this loss day by day and sometimes hour by hour.

Finn acknowledged that Deacon might be the only person who truly cared for Sheila and had genuine feelings for her.

Deacon said Sheila wasn’t all bad, so Finn realized Deacon knew her better than anybody and could perhaps shed some light on her actions.

Finn thought Sheila was doing better, so he didn’t get why she’d trash it all to break in the cliff house and attack Steffy.

Hope piped up that Sheila probably just snapped since she wasn’t a logical person. Deacon ultimately agreed that Sheila defied logic, but he felt there was never anyone like her and never would be again.

After Deacon suggested Sheila was smiling down on them because Finn came, he struggled over having to say goodbye.

Finn stood there looking at the casket deep in thought as he wrestled with conflicting emotions.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Finn’s feelings about Sheila will remain complicated, so stick with us for more predictions on how his view will affect his marriage to Steffy.
