Longmont police issued a summons to the driver of a white SUV in a hit-and-run crash involving the SUV and an RTD bus on Wednesday.
Officers responded to the crash near 17th Avenue and Collyer Street at 12:50 p.m., according to Longmont Public Safety spokeswoman Robin Ericson.
Witnesses said that a white SUV was traveling south in the east alley of Collyer Street, north of 17th Avenue, when the SUV collided with an RTD bus traveling west on 17th Avenue, approaching the same alley. The occupants of the SUV fled after the crash, according to Ericson.
Witnesses directed officers to the 1800 block of Atwood Drive , where they found the driver and passenger, police said.
