Alongside Andy Cohen, Jenifer Lewis and Kenan Thompson, Michael Strahan, Michael B. Jordan and the Black Eyed Peas will also be honored with their own stars.

Hussle will receive the walk’s 2,729th star, which will be placed on Hollywood Boulevard in front of Amoeba Music.

“Nipsey Hussle was more than just a creative genius, he was committed to helping his community through savvy business moves and charitable contributions,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame on behalf of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. “We’re honored to unveil his star on what would have been his 37th birthday.”

The 33-year-old Los Angeles native , whose real name was Airmiess Joseph Asghedom, was fatally shot on March 31, 2019, outside his Marathon Clothing Store. His killer, Eric Holder, was convicted of first-degree murder in July of this year and faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.

The two-time Grammy Award-winning rapper has Nipsey Hussle Square at a Los Angeles metro station designated in his name.

“After he caught the vision and he understood what the train would mean to this community and his neighborhood and businesses like his, he got very involved in making sure that this train worked on behalf of our people and helped us express and live out our possibilities and our hopes and our dreams,” L.A. City Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson said at a ribbon-cutting event at the Hyde Park Station located between the intersections of Crenshaw Boulevard with Slauson Avenue and 59th Street, near the Marathon Clothing store.
