Tell us: What’s the No. 1 Boston attraction marathon visitors should see?

What's a can't-miss spot in the city?

Boston skyline.

Tens of thousands of visitors will flood the city on April 15 to witness the 128th Boston Marathon. And some may wish to fit another iconic Boston experience into their day as well.

After all, Boston was named one of the best cities on the planet to visit in 2024, in part due to its charming neighborhoods and iconic landmarks. However, it is notoriously challenging to navigate the city on Marathon Monday. So if a visitor asked you for just one can’t-miss attraction, what would you say?

For example, would you tell them to explore the Boston Common, America’s oldest public park? Or follow the Freedom Trail? Or stop by the North End for a famous dessert? What’s your recommendation and why?
