The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) vowed to make Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) pay for blowing up her life. Many fans suspect Hope will retaliate by going after John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), but is Steffy sabotaging her own marriage at this point?
When Steffy first heard about Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) memorial service, she immediately lashed out.
Steffy acted like there shouldn’t be a memorial at all and suggested Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) should keep his grief to himself.
However, that’s not really up to Steffy! Deacon loved Sheila and deserves to mourn the loss in any way he sees fit.
Likewise, Deacon was right to give Finn a heads-up that the memorial was happening and give him the chance to decide whether he wanted to come.
Steffy tried to take that choice away from Finn by pressuring him to skip the memorial, so she created a situation where Finn had to go against her wishes.
Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) called Finn’s decision to attend a complete betrayal of Steffy, but isn’t that a bit of an overreaction?
As far as the characters know right now, Sheila is deceased and no longer a threat.
Why can’t Finn say goodbye in his own way regardless of what happened when Sheila was alive?
There’s no denying that Sheila did some terrible things, so Steffy certainly doesn’t have to grieve her or even understand Finn’s complicated feelings right now.
However, it seems like a mistake to cause a fuss over this memorial when Finn’s attempt at closure isn’t hurting Steffy or anyone else.
Finn is perhaps mourning the birth mother he could’ve had more than he’s mourning Sheila herself.
The least Steffy can do under the circumstances is not make Finn feel like a traitor for that.
Steffy blew her top and only reluctantly made peace with Finn’s memorial attendance, so it’s a stark contrast from Hope offering her condolences over Finn’s loss.
In some ways, Steffy may be handing Finn over to Hope like a gift!
Will Steffy’s behavior ultimately play just as much of a role in Hope’s revenge if she steals Finn away?
