Amtrak is offering a Valentine’s Day sale that involves a freebie

But you must act fast.

This Valentine’s Day, Amtrak is providing extra incentive to travel by train with your loved ones: a buy-one-get-one-free deal.

When you buy an adult coach ticket between Feb. 13 and 17 for travel between March 9 and Aug. 30, you’ll receive another adult coach ticket for free. The passengers must travel together on the same itinerary.

Passengers who take advantage of the deal can travel together for $29 between Portland, Maine, and Boston, and for $192 between Washington, D.C, and Boston on the Acela, according to Amtrak.

The discount is valid for travel on the Acela, Adirondack, Carolinian/Piedmont, Cascades, Downeaster, Downstate Illinois Services, Empire Service, Ethan Allen Express, Heartland Flyer, Maple Leaf, Michigan Services, Missouri River Runner, Northeast Regional, San Joaquins, Valley Flyer, Vermonter, and reserved sections of the Pennsylvanian and Keystone Service.
