A new face will lead the fundraising charge for Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy with the appointment of Susan McKenzie as the fundraising and development manager earlier this week.

McKenzie will oversee Life Stories’ fundraising and development efforts, helping to support abused and neglected children through advocacy, resources and support services, according to a Life Stories release.

“I am honored to join Life Stories and contribute to its mission of advocating for children in need,” McKenzie said. “I look forward to working collaboratively with the team to drive fundraising initiatives and ensure the sustainability and growth of these important.”

McKenzie has held a handful of related positions recently, including serving as the digital media marketing manager since 2017 and founding Artistic Marketing in 2021.

“Susan’s appointment comes at a crucial time for Life Stories as we continue to expand our programs and reach,” Executive Director Lisa Drake. “Her proven track record in fundraising combined with her commitment to the nonprofit industry make her an ideal fit in our organization. We are thrilled to welcome her to the team.”

Life Stories is a nonprofit that provides advocacy and support for abused and neglected children, according to the Life Stories website. The center advances coordinated investigations, prosecution and victim services through its Child Advocacy Center and its Court Appointed Special Advocates programs.
