Actor Corbin Bleu made a surprise visit to students from Orlando’s Maynard Evans High School who were attending a theater workshop at Walt Disney World.

While the students were interacting with Disney World ambassadors Raevon Redding and Ali Manion, they were told they were going to do a FaceTime session with Bleu. Instead, the actor came into the theater from the wings in real life.

“What a great welcome that was,” Bleu said after making his entrance.

Bleu became famous playing Chad in the original “High School Musical” movies. He’s currently appearing as a version of himself in “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” which can be seen on Disney+ streaming service.

Bleu held a Q&A session with the students and watched them on stage. It was part of the Disney Imagination Campus programming.

“I feel like they gave more to me than I gave to them,” he said afterward. “Remember it’s about that joy. … it’s about that happiness,” he told them in a video posted on the official Disney Parks Blog.

He also recorded a video, alongside the ambassadors, thanking Disney cast members in general for what they do.
