With the many entertainment choices New York City has to offer, it can be difficult to make a choice. Look no further. “On Stage” host Frank DiLella has curated a list of “must-see” shows this week, directing you to the best of Broadway, off-Broadway and beyond.

“Stereophonic”
The critically acclaimed sold out off-Broadway hit play with music, “Stereophonic” is now in previews at Broadway’s Golden Theatre. In this recent work by David Adjmi, the spotlight is on a music studio in the mid-1970s where some up-and-coming rockers are on the verge of superstardom! For tickets, visit stereophonicplay.com.

“Kimberly Akimbo”
And catch it before it closes. The 2023 Tony Award-winning musical “Kimberly Akimbo” starring Tony Winners, Victoria Clark and Bonnie Milligan is set to shutter on April 28. It’s a must-see. For tickets, visit kimberlyakimbothemusical.com.

“Message In A Bottle”
Heading now to New York City Center — and looking ahead — the new dance theater sensation “Message In A Bottle” will play at the New York City Center in Midtown from April 30 through May 12. The show, which makes its way to New York from London, features the music of Sting. The show features direction and choreography by Kate Prince with music arrangements by “Hamilton’s” Alex Lacamoire. NY1’s Frank DiLella recently caught up with Sting, who shared that the play is “a meta story based on the meaning of my songs. It’s a song. It’s a song cycle about family, would you say? Yes, community love and the need for fairness in the world. So, I think my songs have always addressed those issues and they address it much better now as a unified piece of art.” For tickets, visit nycitycenter.org.

“Queen of Hearts”
And finally, heading to Brooklyn, the always naughty Company XIV is taking on “Alice in Wonderland” with their show, “Queen of Hearts.” This baroque/burlesque adventure is now playing at Théâtre XIV by Company XIV. For tickets, visit companyxiv.com.
