The late Chadwick Boseman, former president Barack Obama and Beatles icons Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr were all winners during Saturday’s Creative Arts Emmys.

Boseman, who died in 2020 after a private battle with colon cancer, was posthumously named the recipient of outstanding character voice-over performance for his work on the animated Marvel series “What If…?”

Boseman voiced Black Panther on the show — the same superhero he portrayed in the live-action Marvel movies.

“When I learned that Chad was nominated for this award, I started thinking about everything that was going on when he was recording — everything that was going on in the world and in our world and just being in such awe of his commitment and his dedication,” the actor’s wife, Taylor Simone Ledward, said in acceptance speech on his behalf, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Obama became the second president to receive an Emmy with his win for outstanding narrator on the Netflix documentary “Our Great National Parks,” following Dwight Eisenhower, who received an honorary trophy in 1956, according to CNN.

McCartney and Starr were both producers on Disney’s documentary series “The Beatles: Get Back,” which won for documentary/nonfiction. They are both now just a Tony away from achieving EGOT status, which refers to artists who won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony.

Adele received an Emmy for her TV specialAdele: One Night Only,” while Eminem got one for his performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show earlier this year. They are also both just a Tony away from EGOT status, according to People.

Saturday’s ceremony took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, where the Primetime Emmys will be held on Sept. 12.
