Tiger Woods watches his tee shot on the ninth hole during third round of the Masters on Saturday.

Mt. Lebanon native and Central Catholic grad Neal Shipley already has received advice from Jack Nicklaus, made it to the weekend in his first Masters and secured the prize for the tournament’s low amateur.

Now, one more bonus: He is paired for the final round with five-time Masters champ Tiger Woods.

The pair will tee off at 9:35 a.m., the third group to start Sunday. Both players are at 11-over-par.

Shipley shot 80 on Saturday, and Woods had his worst round in a major (82) to fall off the fringes of contention.

Shipley opened the Masters with a 1-under 71 then followed it with a 76 in blustery conditions that pumped the average round for the day up to 75.08.

He was the only amateur to make the cut and will receive the Silver Cup to commemorate the achievement.

Woods, owner of 15 major titles, made the cut in his record 24th consecutive Masters and entered the third round within striking distance at seven shots back. But he played his front nine Saturday in 42 to plummet down the leaderboard.

His disastrous day included back-to-back double bogeys on Nos. 7 and 8.
