“Aquaman” star Jason Momoa went to great lengths for his latest mission.

The Hawaiian-born actor shaved his famously long hair in an effort to spread awareness about the dangers of single-use plastics.

An Instagram video shared Monday by Momoa shows the actor during his haircut.

“Heres to new beginnings let’s spread the aloha,” Momoa captioned the post. “Be better at protecting our land and oceans. we need to cut single use plastics out of our lives and out of our seas. plastic bottles, plastic bags ,packaging, utensils all of it.”

The haircut comes a month after Momoa, 43, served aluminum water bottles to passengers aboard a Hawaiian Airlines flight through his Mananalu water company, which is dedicated to eliminating single-use plastics.

“We’re on a mission to end single-use plastic,” Momoa wrote in an Instagram post at the time. “Drink one, remove one – For every bottle of Mananalu sold, we remove one plastic bottle from the ocean. We have removed 3 MILLION plastic bottles from the ocean this year. Don’t stop making waves to save our beautiful planet.”

Momoa has portrayed Aquaman — whose hidden kingdom, Atlantis, sits beneath the sea — in multiple DC Comics movies, including the character’s standalone 2018 film.

“In Hawaii, all our water gods are amazing and powerful, and to be able to control the ocean is something that’s amazing,” Momoa told the Daily News before the release of “Aquaman” that year.

A sequel, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” is set to arrive December 2023.
