Tuesday is Wawa Day, and that means the convenience store chain will again be giving away free coffee.

As it has in the past, Wawa will be offering customers at all its locations a free hot coffee of any size, all day Tuesday. The chain said it expects to give away some 1.5 million cups.

Wawa Day celebrates the opening of the company’s first store in Folsom, Pennsylvania, on April 16, 1964. This year’s celebration is extra special as the chain marks its 60th anniversary.

To honor the milestone, stores will be decked out in 1960s décor, including vintage cups and hoagie wrappers.

“On April 16, we invite our customers to celebrate our history and our future, and toast with us as we celebrate the countless day-brightening moments that we have had together through the years,” said Wawa CEO Chris Gheysens in a statement.

Other promotions and activities for the 60th anniversary Tuesday include:

  • Special 60-cent deals: Customers will enjoy special 60-cent promotions, including a 60-cent birthday cake doughnut as well as teas, juices and lemonade.
  • “Day Brightener” customers: Each store will select a customer that is near and dear to the store’s team, and present them with a special “Day Brightener” sash, mug and a week’s worth of coffee.
  • $1 million in gift cards to charity partners: Wawa and the Wawa Foundation will honor local and national charities by distributing $1 million in gift cards. Charity partners include the Special Olympics, the American Red Cross, Children’s Miracle Network and the USO.
