Television star Josh Morgerman is building a quaint cottage with a big secret near Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.

Morgerman’s new house, called Hurricane House 2.0, will look like traditional New Orleans-inspired cottages but will also be built to withstand powerful storms, according to the Sun Herald. Bay St. Louis also acts as a midway point for Morgerman to be able to chase storms easily from Texas to Florida.

“My house should look like a refurbished old house,” Morgerman said, the outlet reported. “I’m building in the historic district, and I want to respect that.”

In order to evade possible flooding, Morgerman is raising the house an additional four feet, reported the Sun Herald. The house will also have functional shutters to cover the windows during storms. (RELATED: Hurricane Kay To Strike California, Extending Catastrophic Heat Waves)

Morgerman is using Hardie siding that is meant to withstand “rain, hail, high winds, storms, snow, ice, harsh humidity, and temperature changes,” Stateline Exteriors’ website reads.

Morgerman founded iCyclone, a company he uses to chase storms all across the world.

Specifically, Morgerman and the iCyclone team are known for chasing “difficult-to-reach storms in exotic locations.” He and his team then provide video footage and data to the National Hurricane Center in the U.S. for research.
