SHERIFF’S REPORTS
The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office:

EVADING: Joshua N. Bonnet, 38, of Leggett, was booked at county jail April 6 on suspicion of evading a peace officer, resisting/delaying an officer, driving without a valid license and leaving the scene of an accident. He was arrested by the California State Department of Fish and Wildlife.

DUI: Rutilio Escobar, 59, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail April 6 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and of evading a peace officer. He was arrested by the Ukiah Police Department.

CRIMINAL THREATS: Alvaro E. Gonzalez Jr., 29, of Gualala, was booked at county jail April 6 on suspicion of making threats with intent to terrorize. He was arrested by the MCSO.

GRAND THEFT: Clemencio F. Martinez, 46, of Redwood Valley, was booked at county jail April 6 on suspicion of grand theft and theft from an elder. He was arrested by the MCSO.

DUI: Michael Mendez, 51, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail April 6 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the California Highway Patrol.

DUI: Norman L. White, 43, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail April 6 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, driving without a license, possession of a controlled substance, violating his probation and failure to appear. He was arrested by the CHP.

DUI: Jovany CortezTovar, 24, of Philo, was booked at county jail April 7 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the CHP.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Nicholas J. Rhoades, 31, of Boonville, was booked at county jail April 7 on suspicion of domestic violence and of violating his probation. He was arrested by the MCSO.

DUI: Victoria K. Vasquez, 24, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail April 7 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and of driving with a license suspended/revoked for DUI. She was arrested by the UPD.

ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: Joseph E. Buckingham, 43, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail April 8 on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. He was arrested by the UPD.

DUI: Roberto Rodriguez, 30, of Windsor, was booked at county jail April 8 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs. He was arrested by the CHP.

DUI: Alejandro T. Orozco, 19, of Santa Rosa, was booked at county jail April 9 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the CHP.

DRUG SALES: Holland A. VanHorn, 41, of Willits, was booked at county jail April 9 on suspicion of possessing narcotics for sale and failure to appear. He was arrested by the MCSO.

DUI: Anthony R. Fomasi, 32, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail April 10 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and of driving with a license suspended/revoked for DUI. He was arrested by the CHP.

Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the information is in error should contact the appropriate agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant: all DUI cases reported by law enforcement agencies are reported by the newspaper. The Daily Journal makes no exceptions.
