Prairie’s track team, albeit small, knows how to pack a punch amid competition. Friday’s trip to
the Greeley Twilight Invitational proved as much.

Freshman Hannah Kugler led the initiative with silver in the high jump thanks to a clearance of 5
feet, 3 inches, then placed second in the triple jump with a leap of 33–3.5. She nabbed 13th in
the 400-meter dash after earning a time of 1 minute, 8.63 seconds.

Freshman Macie Jaeger tied for seventh in the same high jump competition thanks to a 4–9
mark, then likewise tied for 12th in the 100 thanks to a 14.08-second performance. Sophomore
Tanna Bailey tested out her legs in the 800, and in doing so claimed 12th place by crossing the
finish line at 2:39.64. Senior Rhylynn Canada earned a similar placement in the 100 hurdles,
leaping to a time of 18.76 seconds. She also tied for 10th in the high jump with a 4–7
clearance.

The girls 4×200 relay team managed fourth (1:55.90) through tight competition, besting out the
800 sprint medley relay team’s seventh-place mark (2:08.59).

On the boys’ side, junior Lane Schock secured 20th in the 200 by way of a 25.41-second mark.
He supplemented that performance with a four-way tie for 15th in the high jump, thanks to a
4–11 hop.

Sophomore Dylan Chase earned an even better placement in the 110 hurdles, notching 11th at
20.81. Freshman Hunter Johnson kept the party going with 15th in the triple jump after hurling
himself 34–3, then beat out his own mark with 14th in the discus, throwing it 108–3.

The boys 4×100 team finished squarely in the middle of the pack at seventh, but its time of
47.86 seconds still earned a spot on the podium. The 4×200 squad managed sixth in its race,
this time clocking in at 1:41.18.

The Mustangs have a little over a month left to earn their state qualifying marks for a chance to
compete at Jeffco Stadium.
