Grimes began her Coachella Valley Arts & Music Festival with some good ‘ole self-deprecation after she opened her Weekend 2 set with a video that made fun of her Weekend 1 set, which many called disastrous.
A “Breaking News” style video played, pulling news coverage of her Weekend 1 set that was marked with technical difficulties that ultimately led to Grimes temporarily pausing the set.

Last weekend’s disaster led to the singer, songwriter and DJ posting a formal apology on X that explained that she had outsourced the bpm on her tracks which led to an unfavorable speed on her tracks.

Grimes coined Saturday’s performance as the “redemption set” in an April 20 Instagram post and wrote on X that she doesn’t know “if there’s ever been a more rehearsed or fine tuned grimes set.”

Some speculated that the Weekend 1 set could have been a PR stunt, given the Weekend 2 intro, while others just applauded her team, in general, for the opening video.
It’s Coachella w2 and Grimes has successfully captured the entire audience who are watching to see if she messes up again but this time she delivers the sickest most flawless set anyone has ever seen……and in 1 PR move she claims total domination over Coachella 24
