New Buellton thrift store Second Story Vintage Thrift recently opened its doors to the public.Â
"We haven't been open for that long and the charity behind it is a noble cause," said John Clark, of local nonprofit Santa Ynez Valley Community Outreach.Â
Considered a high-end thrift store, the nonprofit boutique offers shoppers a curated collection of secondhand vintage finds donated by local residents and consignment shops, which benefit SYV Community Outreach and Meals on Wheels SYV.
"Every $10 provides a meal for a local senior and/or veteran," explained Clark, who noted that the Valley's Meals on Wheels program serves 409 meals each day.
"We also provide medical supplies and counseling for those in need," he added.
The store is located at 450 Avenue Of The Flags, Buellton. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturdays and Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
