CHICO — While driving down Cohasset Road, there’s an unusual sight outside of Cathy’s Sew and Vac.
It’s a Christmas tree decorated with vacuums complete with a sewing machine “angel” on top.
The tree wasn’t out for display last year because of COVID-19 so the employees were happy to build it again.
“A lot of customers asked when it was coming back,” said employee Amanda Werlhos. “I was super excited when we did it.”
The tree is the brainchild of Cathy’s Sew and Vac owner Dan Jenks.
The store sells lots of sewing supplies such as fabric and thread as well as vacuums and other supplies. Werlhos said the store offers sewing classes and other classes and they do repairs on vacuums. They also refill supplies. The store carries laundry soap and when customers run out of it they can get the tin of soap refilled. They also sell laundry brightener, multi-purpose cleaner and shower cleaner.
Cathy’s Sew and Vac is located at 2418 Cohasset Road.
