But the PlatinumGames designer won’t say if he’s opened discussions with Microsoft.
Wccftech checked out a presentation of Dune Awakening at GDC 2024. Creative Director Joel Bylos also revealed Funcom wants to polish this game before launch.
Game Rant sits down with No More Heroes creator and Grasshopper founder Suda51.
I would be able n for a shadows of the damned movie. If it could be done in an (older) Evil Dead movie or the series fashion, they might be cooking with fire.
GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.
The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."
They would have to pitch MS something that surpasses everything about the first game.
As a game company that shut down the project, reviving it means new perspectives.
Shouldn't Platnium be pitching to develop Scalebound after they release Bayonetta and their other projects? The multiple projects Platnium developed during Scalebound's development seemed to point to the studio mismanaging projects.
You know, what if... Again what if this is a red herring? PG has been calling out MS publically putting MS on the spot in hopes of fans will Pressure MS in finishing the project.
What If come E3 you see a dragon fly across the screen and then you see PG's logo pop then it says Dragon Soul 2023. PG and MS wouldn't use Scalebound for marketing purposes and it's a soft reboot of the IP so a new name is necessary, it won't be called Scalebound.
That's just wishful thinking on my part. In all honesty why not? Why not MS partner with them again and release a game that was supposed to release 5 years ago. MS needs the JRPG games bad plus just general new and intriguing AAA games. They just need the games man. Will it shift the tides in Japan? Of course not MS needs a million more games in that territory, but for me it's not about that, it's about giving the Xbox much needed new and interesting games. I say yes finish the game MS, if you're really about the games as you say.
Ffs man. At this point, Hideki Kamiya should just give up that last shred of dignity and generate the funds he needs on OnlyFans.
Or.
And hear me out, Hideki.
Being Microsoft owns the IP, design docs, and the playable build, they go to either an internal studio, or at least another 3rd party who hasn't already botched the product, as well as funneling funds for the game to their other projects?
