Icahn Enterprises: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

NEW YORK (AP) _ Icahn Enterprises L.P. (IEP) on Friday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $157 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The New York-based company said it had a loss of 74 cents per share. Losses, adjusted to account for discontinued operations, came to 70 cents per share.

The diversified holding company posted revenue of $2.62 billion in the period.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $1.1 billion, or $5.38 per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $8.99 billion.

Icahn Enterprises shares have increased almost 2% since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped 13% in the last 12 months.
