General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) will have very different reactions to the contents of the safe deposit box that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) left behind.
When Spencer opens it and reveals hard evidence against Esme Prince (Avery Pohl), Trina will be excited over the chance to finally put her in prison where she belongs.
There’ll be enough to prove Esme drugged Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) and that she was behind the scandalous video of Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton), but Spencer will quickly realize it’s probably not legit.
Before all the Greenland drama went down, Victor was willing to manufacture evidence against Esme and give Spencer a better shot at becoming Ace Cassadine’s (Jay and Joey Clay) legal guardian.
Trina will pick up on Spencer’s weird vibe, so she’ll push him to admit what’s bothering him.
That’s when Spencer will confess why he suspects this proof is fake and that it’s just Victor’s final gift to help his custody case.
Trina’s feelings about using the “evidence” will change at that point since she won’t want to do anything that could jeopardize sending Esme to prison.
Everything has to be done by the book or else Esme may not truly go down for her crimes.
Plus, knowingly using inauthentic proof could land Spencer and Trina on the wrong side of the law again, which is the last thing they need.
Trina will think it’s best to just throw the contents of the safe deposit box away and hope for a more legitimate path to justice later.
Although Spencer will think Esme deserves to pay regardless, he’ll let Trina win this argument.
Spencer will ultimately pretend he agrees with Trina, but he’ll secretly save this faux evidence – just in case they need it down the road.
GH fans can expect Spencer to return everything to the safe deposit box and keep it in the back of his mind as a last resort strategy.
Esme is a wildcard who could pull some other shady stunts with or without her memories, so it’s perhaps wise for Spencer to have some leverage!
