Congressman Mike Thompson and the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force will hold a forum on the impact of gun vilence on Monday.

The witnesses will highlight a diverse range of voices that are calling for action on gun violence prevention legislation. The witnesses will also discuss some of the best research and polling support for the effectiveness and popularity of gun violence prevention policies.

Besides Thompson, scheduled to appear are members of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, gun violence survivors, school psychologist, education stakeholders, law enforcement officers, gun owners, gun violence researchers, gun violence pollsters and a local gun violence prevention advocate.

The meeting will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at to be determined venue in the Capitol Complex and will be live streamed on Thompson’s Facebook page.
