Sony Delays Release of Three Movies, Including 'Morbius'

Sony Pictures has announced that three of the studio’s upcoming movies have been delayed due to the current shutdown of movie theaters amid the health crisis.

The Spider-Man spinoff movie Morbius, the upcoming sequel Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and the video game adaptation Uncharted have all been pushed back.

Morbius, starring Jared Leto as the title character, was originally set to hit theaters on July 31 and it has been delayed until March 19, 2021.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which includes the return of the film’s original cast, was originally going to be released on July 10, but it has now been pushed back to March 5, 2021.

Tom Holland‘s movie Uncharted was going to be released on March 5, but it has been delayed until October 8, 2021 to make room for Ghostbusters.

The studio also announced that the Kevin Hart movie Fatherhood will now come out earlier than planned. It was originally hitting theaters on January 15, 2021, but it will be released on October 23, 2020.
