WTMG's Leo Faria: "Bears Can’t Drift!? doesn’t have many things in its favor, but it’s not the worst racing game I’ve played this generation. At the very least, it does feature good controls. I don’t exactly see why you would decide to buy it for your Xbox One besides looking for a kid-friendly kart racer not named Race With Ryan. Those bears sure know how to drift, but they’re not really good at anything else besides that."

Richard writes: "There's clearly a lot of passion and work put into this, and it’s charming and upbeat, with retro influences clear on its sleeves. However, it simply needs so much more polish that I cannot currently recommend a purchase to anyone."
Neil writes: "There are many, many, many karting games available across the gaming scene, with the very best of those featuring certain blue hedgehogs and wild bandicoots. Today though a new entry hits the scene as you get the opportunity to put your paws to the floor with Bears Can't Drift on Xbox One."
