A Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot voice actor has confirmed that the Buu Saga will be included in the new action role-playing Dragon Ball Z game, in an interview with ComicBook.com (via GameRant).

Earlier this month, the English voice actor for Goku, Sean Schemmel, spoke to the site about what fans can expect from the new entry into the series. ‘Kakarot is coming out in early 2020. It's an RPG, you can play the entire Dragon Ball Z saga, all the way through the Buu saga, from beginning to end,’ he stated. So, the Buu Saga won’t be kept waiting in the wings as DLC or the basis of a sequel, and fans will be able to enjoy all of the sagas from launch .

From the Saiyan Saga to the End of 'Z' Saga, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot treads a different path than the previous fighting games. It leans into role-playing elements and will take players through the stories of its protagonists in their entirety. A gameplay demo showing a battle between Super Saiyan 2 Gohan and Cell shed light on how its combat will work, and boasted a few special attacks in the mix as well.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2020.
