Each week, NY1 takes a look at what's happening in the theater world on its weekly show "On Stage." Here's host Frank DiLella with a preview of this week's episode.

This weekend on "On Stage":

  • "On Stage" host Frank DiLella sits down with Tony and Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth to talk about her new book, “I’m No Philosopher, But I Got Thoughts: Mini-meditations for Saints, Sinners and the Rest of Us.”

  • DiLella will also check in with Tony Award winner André De Shields, who is being honored by the Gay Men’s Health Crisis Monday, Feb. 6 at Joe’s Pub for his advocacy and activism work — specifically for people living with HIV and AIDS.
