CMPD investigating homicide after shooting in southwest Charlotte

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide in southwest Charlotte.

On Sunday, police received reports about a body being found along Choyce Avenue.

At the scene, Osvin Adonay Alevar Solis, 29, was found deceased from a gunshot wound. Their next of kin has been notified. A suspect has yet to be named in the case.

The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a homicide unit detective.
