Upper Darby police investigate shooting on Marshall Road

Male struck more than once Sunday; suspects in custody, police say.

Upper Darby police issued this information on social media about a shooting Sunday afternoon shortly before 5 p.m.:

“Officers are on the scene of a shooting inside of a residence on the 2400 block of Marshall Road. One male has been taken to the hospital in serious condition. Several subjects are in police custody, and detectives are investigating.”

The call went out on Delaware County communications about 4:45 p.m. for a first-floor apartment for a 20-year-old male shot in the head and on a sofa.

Officers arrived and started CPR. Medics were summoned into the residence, according to emergency radio traffic.

Police arrived and obtained more details from neighbors/witnesses, getting descriptions on the suspects and swarming the area, stopping males who fit the descriptions.
