Embattled New England Patriots wide receiver Antonio Brown posted a rambling message about faith to his Instagram account a day after reports surfaced that a second woman had accused him of sexual misconduct.
The Tuesday post, titled “Faith,” opens with the line, “I am supported in every aspect of my life.”
Brown says that he is often “mesmerized” by the stars in the night sky — adding that the “glorious vision” helps him to “expand [his] faith in the organizing power of the universe.”
“When a challenge arises, I know my divine nature will carry me through,” the receiver continued. “Drawing on faith, I look to the next horizon with positive expectancy. I step into the highest vision for my life, empowered and at peace, knowing that my good is unfolding.”
The post came a day after it emerged that a woman Brown had hired to paint a mural while he was playing with the Pittsburgh Steelers accused him of coming on to her as she worked.
“I was about 40 percent done on the second day, and I’m on my knees painting the bottom, and he walks up to me butt-ass naked, with a hand cloth covering his [penis] and starts having a conversation with me,” the unnamed woman told Sports Illustrated, the first to break the story.
He paid her $1,000 a day for the two days’ work, but she said he still owes her $700 for a painting he purchased at the charity auction where they met in June 2017 and has also kept another one of her works.
Brown “ghosted” her after the incident and her calls to his various assistants about being paid for other work went unanswered, she claimed.
The painter is not seeking damages or pursuing charges but told Sports Illustrated she was “bothered by his behavior.”
In a statement released through his attorney, Brown denied the allegations in the article and declined to comment further.
Less than a week earlier, Britney Taylor, Brown’s former personal trainer, claimed that the player sexually assaulted her in two 2017 incidents and raped her once in 2018.
Brown has denied those allegations as well, through his lawyer.
Taylor met with NFL investigators for 10 hours earlier this week.
Brown’s fate now rests in the hands of league commissioner Roger Goodell, according to multiple reports.
