From GameWatcher: "Developer Deck13 has confirmed once more, responding to a fan question on Twitter, that the project it is currently working on is not The Surge 3.
Aside from The Surge 3 not being in development, Deck13 also cast doubt on the possibility of a next-gen patch for The Surge 2."
That's mildly disappointing, as they had hinted at a follow-up. Still, going something fresh is perhaps the better way to go.
One was brillaint i felt two was a step back, control wise and the story and environments
I don't think they need to do a next-gen upgrade, but it would be nice if they could push a quick update to allow 4k60 through backwards compatibility. I'd imagine that wouldn't take a lot of manpower, and really is the more important feature for an action game anyway.
Ive had the game for almost 2 weeks now. Its actually very good! Much better than the first one in every way. Graphics look pretty good too. Some of the facial animations are off though.
There has already been a patch which fixed a few things i noticed. The camera sensitivity was way off when i first tried the game. Its been fixed. Game is pretty fun and doesnt seem as hard as dark souls, but its still a great challenge. More balanced difficulty to me than Souls games.
Lol ps4 doing a game in 4k
that was pretty vague on details other than to say 1080p/60 and upscaled 4k. checkerboard? dynamic rez? what is that rez for each? some of us have both consoles and want the one that checks the priorities. i'll assume the one x runs 1800p and the pro at 1440p since thats how these things usually net out when native 4k isn't an option.
I can't wait till 4k 60 fps is standard.....and it bloody better be come next gen. And yes I know I know, PC has had it and more for years, great, but PC doesn't have all the amazing console exclusives does it, no.
