For the first time in its 13-year history, HBO's "24/7" will turn its eyes to college football.
The critically acclaimed series, named "24/7 COLLEGE FOOTBALL," will provide an all-access look at Florida, Penn State, Washington State and Arizona State.
The four-part series will premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 10 p.m. ET. Each episode will be an hour long and focus on the week-long lead-up to a specific game. The series begins with Florida as it prepares to play Towson on Sept. 28, followed by Penn State's Oct. 5 meeting with Purdue, Arizona State's Oct. 12 meeting with Washington State and the Cougars' Oct. 19 meeting with Colorado.

"For many years, we have been enamored with the storylines and unrivaled traditions of college football, and we’re excited for the opportunity to expand the '24/7' franchise into the realm of college sports," HBO Sports executive producer Rick Bernstein said in a statement. "Viewers will feel the tremendous electricity of some of the best atmospheres in the country, and see the meticulous preparation and challenges facing these programs in the build-up to game day and during the game action."
This may be the first time "24/7" has focused on the sport, but HBO has looked into college football programming before. It released a movie in the summer of 2018 about former Penn State coach Joe Paterno — which former lettermen called "uninformed" and "shameless." It depicted the 2011 fallout from Jerry Sandusky's sexual abuse becoming public.
It also delved into the St. Brown family, which included three star receivers. Osiris and Amon-Ra play at Stanford and USC, respectively. Equanimeous played for Notre Dame from 2015-17.
