Gisele Bündchen addressed her mother’s death on Tuesday, penning an emotional goodbye to her parent.

“Beloved mom,” Bündchen wrote, sharing photos of her mother on Instagram. “It hurts to know that I won’t be able to hug you anymore, but I know that you will always be watching over us. You were an angel on earth, always helping everyone around you.”

Bündchen’s mother, 75-year-old Vânia Nonnenmacher, died Sunday following a battle with cancer, according to People magazine.

In her tribute to her mother on Tuesday, Bündchen thanked her mom for being the “best role model of love, strength, compassion, courage, and grace.”

She said she would “live by the values” she learned from Nonnenmacher.

“You will live forever through the many lives that you touched… Your love will always guide us,” Bündchen said, thanking her mother for her siblings. “I will see you in my dreams.”

Earlier this month, Bündchen reflected in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar on how her mother’s parenting has influenced her approach with own children, with her goal of ensuring they have the tools they need to navigate the world on their own.

“Sometimes, I get pushback, especially because now they’re in two different homes and there are two different ways,” Bündchen said, referencing her 2022 divorce from Tom Brady. “But I feel like I owe it to my kids, because of what my mom taught me.”
