Hyper Scape, a new battle royale by Ubisoft, was leaked only a few days ago. Today, the publisher officially lifted the veil on its first attempt on the genre. And you can already play it, if you manage to get access to the technical test via Twitch drops.
Yes, much like with Valorant, access to this latest shooter is getting handed out on Twitch. The steps necessary to gain access is basically the same. You’ll need to navigate to the Hyper Scape section on Twitch, click on your chosen streamer, and link up your account to Ubisoft’s drop page. After that all you can do is watch, wait, and hope for a chance to run and gun with everyone who has access. It shouldn’t be too challenging to find a streamer with drops; there are currently around 400,000 viewers watching people play the game.

Fight and loot in a futuristic city
Hyper Scape is Ubisoft’s take on the insanely popular battle royale genre. It’s battle ground is a city brimming with sci-fi themes, complete with neon lights and towering skyscrapers. You can play the game solo or in a squad in matches with up to 100 others. As per the usual, you land in the city via drop pod and then scrounge around for weapons like shotguns and sniper rifles, then get to the dirty business.
Ubisoft is promoting Hyper Scape as a game that encourages “vertical mobility.” The city of Neo Arcadia is peppered with jump pads that can get you to the top of the tallest towers. Some buildings in which you fight are large enough for several floors. The trailer above shows how often you and other players will move from the ground to the air during battles. And, as this is a Ubisoft game, you can traverse across rooftops in ways that would make Ezio feel envious.
