The newest anniversary ship for Star Trek Online is not a Klingon ship. It is also not a Federation ship. It is, instead, the first hybrid design between the KDF and the UFP, the Khitomer Alliance Battlecruiser. And if you are instantly struck by the fact that it looks different from every other ship in the game while also bearing callbacks to its two sources… well, yeah, that’s kind of the point. It’s a ship for both factions bearing the marks of both.
Players of any level will be able to start flying the ship by completing the anniversary event starting on January 28th, with the ship available to all characters on your account once it has been unlocked. The ship is a battlecruiser, meaning that it’s faster than the more tanky cruisers but also more durable than escorts, complete with built-in defensive systems and a ship trait to restore shields upon destroying an enemy.
