Each week, we feature a worthy citizen science project or nature news segment from around the world. This week we’re featuring TreeSnap.

TreeSnap

Our nation’s trees are at risk, and threats like invasive diseases and pests affect some trees more than others. TreeSnap allows individuals in their communities to virtually tag trees, alerting scientists who use the data to to research tree resiliency. According to the website, “scientists will use the data you collect to locate trees for research projects like studying the genetic diversity of tree species and building better tree breeding programs.” Get started HERE!
