Trump Says We Can't Look at COVID-19 Deaths in Proportion to Population - Watch the Bizarre Interview

A new interview with President Donald Trump was just released and he is making some more claims about coronavirus that have people enraged on Twitter.

The president of the United States was interviewed by reporter Jonathan Swan for Axios on HBO and they talked about coronavirus deaths in the U.S. compared to other countries.

Trump made the claim that the “United States is lowest in numerous categories. We’re lower than the world.”

After Swan was shown the chart, he said, “Oh, you’re doing death as a proportion of cases. I’m talking about death as a proportion of population. That’s where the U.S. is really bad. Much worse than South Korea, Germany, etc.”

“You can’t do that,” Trump replied. “You have to go by the cases. What it says is, when you have somebody that has, where there is a case, the people that live from those cases.”

Swan pointed out that South Korea has a population of 51 million people and has only had 300 deaths from COVID-19. In comparison, the United States has a population of 328 million people and there have been over 158,000 deaths so far.

“You don’t know that,” Trump said in response to the South Korea statistics. When Swan asked Trump if he believed that the country is faking their numbers, he refused to answer the question.

In other Trump news, he’s planning on banning a popular social media company in the U.S.
