CyberArk: 2Q Earnings Snapshot

PETACH-TIKVA, Israel (AP) _ CyberArk Software Ltd. (CYBR) on Tuesday reported a second-quarter loss of $4.3 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Petach-Tikva, Israel-based company said it had a loss of 11 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 42 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 11 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 26 cents per share.

The maker of software that detects attacks on privileged accounts posted revenue of $106.5 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $101 million.

For the current quarter ending in October, CyberArk expects its per-share earnings to range from 19 cents to 33 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $107 million to $115 million for the fiscal third quarter.

CyberArk shares have increased almost 3% since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 13% in the last 12 months.
