Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin Talk Getting Arrested for Fire Drill Friday on 'Kimmel'!

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin made a joint appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night (January 20) and dished about getting arrested.

The Grace & Frankie duo discussed their recent arrest at a Fire Drill Friday climate change protest led by Jane in Washington, D.C.

“You have to get arrested several times [to go to jail]. You get arrested three times and then you’re given a court date,” Jane explained about the recent arrests. “If you get arrested again you’re kept over night, which I was but you know, I’m white and famous, so I was put in a cell by myself. This time around I was by myself with the cockroaches.”

Jane and Lily also talked about bringing awareness to the climate crisis, what it was like in jail, Jane’s famous mugshot from her 1970 arrest, other things they should have been arrested for, and their new season of Grace and Frankie on Netflix.
