PP: There’s always a good feeling when you’re anticipating a title and it delivers a remarkable journey. Especially with my last few outings in the PSVR. Sure, Shadow Legend VR could do with some more combat opportunities, but as an exploration RPG with so much to do in such compact, beautifully crafted areas I can find little to complain about. You’ll feel like you’re really on a fantasy quest, you’ll feel heroically in control at all times, and I can’t think of a better way to remind people at the start of 2020 that VR is still not a gimmick.
Built exclusively for VR and initially launched on Steam, Shadow Legend VR is a medieval action adventure with RPG elements by developer VitruviusVR. It’s now out for Playstation VR as well, which is how we checked it out.
The PlayStation Brahs:
“Developer Vitruvius Technologies has allowed us to embark on a new quest with interaction. Let’s find out how with Shadow Legend VR for the PlayStation VR.”
From PlayStation Universe: "If you are anything like me, when you look at a game’s promotional materials and you see things like flaming swords and chain mail, your mind immediately starts excitedly screaming “RPG! It’s and RPG!”. And when one of these games shows up in the RPG-starved PSVR market, it can be doubly exciting. But in the case of Shadow Legend VR, I had to tell my wildly excited mind to cool its jets. While there are RPG elements in Shadow Legend VR, and it does certain things better than lauded games like Skyrim VR(!), an RPG this ain’t."
Great score, will check this out after I put a bigger dent in already owned PSVR games. Hoping that there's an option for the 3D 3D Rudder since there was no mention in the article, and I dislike having to teleport around in VR.
I read "Shadow Legend" and I immediately thought of that damn mobile game that sponsors pretty much every single youtuber nowadays
Good score. I'll end up getting it. But I just got back into Skyrim VR after playing so much Sairento, Blood and Truth and Espire 1. Must have been some time as my archery has slipped. I used to be an expert at it. And hitting the square button to speak by mistake.
Looks good though. And without parole and Polish Paul seem to like it.
