“The U.S. market is integral to our success, and we’re excited that 2020 will bring all three of Lufthansa Group’s main hub airlines to Boston Logan with the launch of Austrian Airlines’ new service to Vienna in March,” Frank Naeve, vice president of sales, The Americas, Lufthansa Group, said in a press release. “Austrian Airlines is the only airline in the world to provide the personalized service that exudes that special ‘Austrian touch.’ Bostonians will soon be able to experience Austrian’s premium onboard products, high-end culinary options and the warm, friendly hospitality for which Austria is known.”

Business class travelers experience seats that turn into beds, regional and international cuisine prepared by on-board chefs, wine recommendations from a sommelier, and the choice of 10 Viennese coffee specialties, according to the company.

The airline will initially operate four weekly flights between Boston and Vienna, increasing to six weekly flights by mid-April, according to the company.

Lufthansa Group announced further growth in Boston next year with its offering of Lufthansa’s 509-seat Airbus A380, the world’s largest commercial aircraft, on its Boston to Munich route beginning in the summer of 2020.
