Braves vs. Reds prediction: Max Fried will struggle vs. Cincinnati

Let your voice be heard! No, I don’t care whether you vote or not. But Stitches, better late than never, will be going through the mailbag as we go through the postseason. Send your love/hate letters to stitches@nypost.com. If they deliver, you’ll be reading them back in your favorite sports section.

The Braves begin their quest for a championship against the Reds on Wednesday. Their ace, Max Fried (7-0, ERA 2.25) gets the green light to make his first postseason start. No sure thing after his left ankle barked at him during his last start. Bravos’ coaching staff breathed a collective sigh of relief after he threw batting practice Sunday. Reds go with Trevor Bauer (5-4, ERA 1.73, 100 Ks) who pitched well down the stretch. Strikeout/walk ratio was 46/6 over his last five starts. Bauer is a career 1-4 in the postseason but chilled the Brews last week in what amounted to a playoff game, allowing one run over eight strong. Cincy can’t match Atlanta’s firepower “O” but maybe the road dogs can steal Game 1. Play 20 units on the Reds.

Bad night for President Trump, Joe Biden, Chris Wallace and Shane Bieber. Good night for Stitches, Gerrit Cole and the Yankees, who hammered the Indians 12-3. Easy W has us at -524 hankbauers.
