Pirates farm report for May 13, 2022: Cal Mitchell clouts 10th-inning homer for Indy

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 16-16) scored two in the top of the 10th to beat Charlotte (White-Sox), 7-5. LF Cal Mitchell (.312) went 2 for 5 with a pair of two-run home runs, including the game winner. They were his first two long balls of the year. 1B Mason Martin (.245) went 2 for 4 with a walk. SS Oneil Cruz (.182) went 0 for 5 and made two errors. RHP Austin Brice (3.27) worked a scoreless 10th for the save. RHP Yerry De Los Santos (2-0, 2.13) backed into a win, blowing a save by giving up the tying run in the ninth on a one-out solo home run. RHP Roansy Contreras (2.45) started and gave up three runs on two hits in 4.1 innings. He struck out four and gave up a home run.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 14-17) outlasted Somerset (Yankees), 2-1, in 10 innings. 1B Aaron Shackelford (.231) hit the game-winning RBI single in the 10th. RHP Will Kobos (1-0, 7.71) worked a scoreless inning to earn the win. RHP Travis McGregor (.540) threw four scoreless innings of relief. LHP Zach Matson (2.38) started and went two innings, allowing one hit and no runs. RHP Colin Selby (0.73) was dominant to two innings, giving up no hits and striking out five. RHP Enmanuel Mejia (7.36) gave up a run in the ninth to blow a save. C Blake Sabol (.279) went 2 for 4 with two doubles.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 13-17) was two-hit by Hickory (Rangers), losing 3-0. RHP Cameron Junker started and worked two innings without allowing a hit. RHP Sean Sullivan (0-1, 3.63) gave up three runs on five hits in four innings to take the loss. RHP Ricky DeVito (2.87) and LHP Tyler Samaniego (0.73) each worked a scoreless inning. CF Matt Gorski (.268) went 1 for 4. 1B Ernny Ordonez (.239) went 1 for 2 with a walk.
