Ben Huber hit two home runs and the UConn baseball team tied the program record for wins in season with a 9-2 nonconference at Bryant on Tuesday at Smithfield, R.I. The Huskies, ranked 16th in the nation, are now 43-10 with a three-game series at Georgetown left to play in the regular season.

David Smith had four hits in his fifth straight game with more than one. Cole Chudoba started and went five innings to improve to 3-1.

Yard Goats win at Bowie

Jimmy Herron delivered the big blow with a three-run home run in the second inning to lead the Hartford Yard Goats to a 7-3 win at the Bowie Baysox in an Eastern League game in Bowie, Md. Hartford has now won six of eight to improve to 20-14.

Aaron Schunk and Niko Decolati each had two hits, a run scored and an RBI for the Yard Goats. Noah Davis (1-3) went seven innings allowing three runs on eight hits for the win.
