Nirvana cover baby Spencer Elden wants to nix his pics from commemorative issues

The man who was the naked baby on the iconic cover of Nirvana’s 1991 album “Nevermind” wants to bar the band from using the image on 30th anniversary editions of the classic disc.

Lawyers for Spencer Elden already sued over the famous image, calling it “child exploitation and violation of privacy,” but now they are pushing for Universal Music to cover up Elden’s genitalia from all future album covers, TMZ reported Friday.

Elden has to suffer scorn and unwanted attention every year during the annual anniversary of the release of “Nevermind,” Elden’s lawyer, Maggie Mabie, claimed to TMZ.

She said the 30th anniversary of the album release scheduled for this week will mean more ridicule for Elden.

To make things stickier, Universal plans to release multi-format reissues that include a total of 94 audio and video tracks — including 70 previously unreleased — in digital, CD and single-disc vinyl with a bonus 7-inch on Nov. 12. The reissues have all been digitally remastered. The video tracks are CD and Blu-ray.
